Project Announcement: Kaunas Mechanical Treatment, Lithuania

WTT feels proud to announce that it has been awarded with an honourable state-of-the-art project in Kaunas and Zabieliskis, Lithuania. WTT is responsible for the mechanical design, installation and commissioning of the 240.000 t/a MSW (Municipal Solid Waste) treatment project. The plant will consist out of facilities at two locations and is expected to be operational at the end of 2015. WTT’s scope includes the mechanical pre-treatment process in order to separate the recyclables out of the waste, leading to a biodegradable residual fraction suitable for biological treatment. Afterwards WTT’s refining lines convert the stabilized faction into technical compost, appropriate for sale by the operator.
